HAIR FALL in Teenagers in today's life
Hair fall becomes one of the major problems among people as well as teenagers.We blame most of the time the climate,our daily life, pollution, Shampoos, over styling on hair and so on.In such juncture everyone is ready to spend money to get rescue from this problem.

1. STRESS :
When our body face any kind of stress it can be physcl stress/ psychological stress the sympathetic nervous system is activated & started to release stress hormones (cortisol, adrenaline)
In our modern Life our stress hormones are chronically elevated and on the other hand Rest & Digest mode less,for which protective hormones become less.So that stress hormones trigger the hair loss .
Scientist proved that stress increases hair loss . There's a direct connection between hair & brain -aka Brain Hair Follicle Axis.
During stress ,axis becomes activated and premature the hair follicles' active part aka ANGEN phase.
For what the Lifetime of the ANGEN phase reduce and promotes hair fall.
2. ALOPECIA AREATA :
The medical term for hairloss is termed as ALOPECIA AREATA.When you experience patchy Hair loss on a circle pattern the condition is called Alopecia Areata.
It's an autoimmune disorder when body immune system starts attacking his own healthy Hair Follicles.
It is one of the most spread causes of hair loss affecting almost 2% of the population.About 147 billions people across the globe are effected by it and have a lifetime risk of 2.1%
Subtype of Alopecia Areata-
a) Alopecia Totalis
b) Alopecia Universalis
c) Diffused Alopecia Areata
d) Ophiasis
In most of the cases the hair loss is not permanent and eventually grow back .
3. TRICHOTILLOMANIA :
A medical disorder in which the patient compulsively pulls his / her own hair out .
Risk factors : It's mainly associated with OCD , depressive disorder .
Symptoms :
Hair loss particularly on the scalp.May eat the hair resulting in bezoars obstruction and malnutrition,head banging and nail biting
It's mostly seen in 9-13 years of age.Severity of symptoms appear to be higher in adolescent, therefore adults suffer usually have a more long lasting form of the disorder . Research says in 2012 reported that upto 60% of individuals with TRICHOTILLOMANIA suffered from another psychiatric disorder.1% of Americans also experience this at certain point in their lives .
4. TRACTION ALOPECIA :
It's a type of hair loss that happens over time.its caused by putting the hair under constant strain or tension .There is more to this condition than hair simply breaking off instead the constant tension in the affected area either pulls out the hair roots completely or causes the Follicles to become inflamed.
As time goes by the damage to the Follicle cause them to become atrophied that's wasted away and if you don't put a stop to this cause of the problem this will reach the point where they no longer produce hair at all .
Usually caused by
• Ponytails or pigtails
• tight braids or chondros
• dreadlocks
• extensions single braids
• hair waves or wigs with glue clips etc .
5. ANDROGENIC ALOPECIA /MALE PATTERN BALDNESS :
It's a genetically determined patterned hair loss that commonly affects man .
✓ Causes : There are something called testosterone receptors or androgen receptors , that are found on the roots of the hair and there's testosterone that freely flows in our bloodstream.
Now this testosterone makes it's way ,all the way up to the roots of the hair and with the help of an enzyme called 5-alpha reductase -it gets converted into another hormone called Dihydrotestosterone (DHT).Its the main reason of male pattern baldness
It affects root of the hair and causes a decrease in the blood supply to the hair shaft . Therefore, decrease in the thickness and the height of the hair happens progressive.
• 25% cases start at the age of 21
6.HARD WATER ON HAIR :
Hard water contains lead ,Calcium , magnesium ,silica in high percentage .These minerals coat the scalp and restrict the needed hydration for hair .This leads to hair dryness,frizziness and ultimately breakage .
~ Lead also absorbs in scalp and damage hair follicles
Not controlling this may lead to hair breakage/ Split ends
7. MEDICATION :
Side effects of medicines like which were previously prescribed for acne/depression causes major hair fall.85% of Young adults & 20% of teens are suffering from acne & depression respectively.

8. BAD FOOD HABITS :
Frequently seen among youngsters that they are leading a very unhealthy lifestyle .The foods they are intaking actually the opposite is happening .
~ alcohol slows down the zinc in the body which is essential mineral for hair growth
~fried foods form a greasy layer on our scalp which augments hair loss
~ High intake of sugar can not only hike up the blood sugar levels but can also make hair lose
~ In some
foods there are Mercury which introduce hair fall and end up with baldness !!
